One injured after vehicle flips, hits pole in Kenly

KENLY, N.C. (WTVD) -- One person was taken to the hospital by helicopter after a vehicle flipped and crashed into a pole.

It happened just after 7 p.m. at the intersection of Princeton Kenly Road and Hinnant Edgerton Road.

The pole came down on the overturned vehicle. Emergency crews worked for about an hour to get the man out.

Our crew on the scene says he was taken to WakeMed with serious injuries.
