Golf ball statue stolen in Southern Pines

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (WTVD) -- The search is on to find the suspects accused of stealing a golf ball art statue in Southern Pines.

Southern Pines Police released surveillance pictures from early Sunday morning.

The pictures show a woman tearing the statue from its mount and knocking it to the side.

Cops say about an hour later another group picked up the golf ball and walked away.

The two suspects carrying the statue were last seen heading south on Broad Street.
