New Jurassic-era dinosaur discovered in Chile

SANTIAGO, Chile -- A lot of kids love dinosaurs. But not many actually get to discover a whole new dinosaur species.

Researchers in Santiago, Chile unveiled the bones of a Jurassic-era dinosaur this week. It's called a Chilesaurus in honor of the country where it was found and the 7-year-old boy who discovered it.

Diego Suarez" picked up the bones while out for a hike with his family.

The dinosaur has three thick, short fingers, and two claws. It also has leaf-shaped teeth, which means it was a plant eater.

Paleontologists estimate it roamed the earth about 150 million years ago.
