Dust devil forms on field in Brooklyn

GREENPOINT -- A startling sight in a Brooklyn park was caught on camera Sunday afternoon.

A dust devil formed on the baseball field at McCarren Park in Greenpoint around 3:30.

Several eyewitnesses recorded the phenomenon on their smartphones and started posting videos and images on social media.

According to eyewitnesses, the funnel cloud lasted about a minute.
