ROXBORO, NC (WTVD) -- Roxboro Community School hopes to finish converting a former cotton mill into a new gymnasium and auditorium soon.
Leaders are working to raise $1.8 million for the final phase of the conversion of the old Roxboro Cotton Mill/Tultex building on Lake Drive.
Roxboro Community School was chartered in 2006. The first phases of construction have focused on classrooms and a library, etc.
Students currently have to go off-campus for sporting events or theater performances. Once complete, the new project will mean they have their own facilities.
