LOST CLASS RING FOUND

A young woman was reunited with a special ring after losing it several months ago in a New Jersey park.

Laina Leto lost her mom's 1978 high school class ring that her mother had given it to her as a gift.

With the park being so large, the family had little hope of finding the ring.

Then this week, Joe Tracey was out with a metal detector -- dirt fishing as he calls it -- and he made the discovery.

He asked a local TV station to tell his story, which led him to the Leto family.

DOG SURVIVES 200-FOOT FALL

A woman hiking in the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon thought her dog was dead when it plummeted 200 feet down an embankment this week.

A 10-person rescue team jumped in, scaling the terrain to pull out Gracie.

Much to her surprise, the one-year-old labradoodle was alive with only some scratches and bruises.

WATER RESCUE

A dramatic water rescue in Arizona was caught on tape after torrential rain flooded neighborhoods and streets in Apache Junction trapped a driver of a white van.

Firefighters had to come rescue the driver from the rushing water.
