Suspect at large in Manhattan bar rape
Kemberly Richardson has an update on the search for the suspect who raped a woman in the bathroom of a Kips Bay bar.

KIPS BAY, N.Y. -- There's new video in the search for a rapist who attacked a woman inside the bathroom of a Manhattan bar.

Police said the surveillance video was taken just outside the Turnmill Sports Bar on East 27th Street, where the 23-year-old victim was raped on Saturday.

The incident happened around 7:45 p.m.

Security cameras inside the bar captured the man as he entered. He didn't eat or drink anything, and once he figured out the ladies room was downstairs, he headed that way.

Sources say he waited in the middle stall while the victim entered the far left stall. When she was done, he allegedly pushed her back into the stall, grabbed her neck, covered her mouth and told her "I'm going to rape you."

He then fled the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Sources tell Eyewitness News that the entire time the suspect was violating the victim, her boyfriend was sitting upstairs, in the back of the bar, completely unaware of what was happening.

The suspect is described as a white man who is about 45 to 55 years old, about 5-foot-9 and 150 to 175 pounds with brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and black framed glasses.
