Hit-and-run driver strikes Durham pedestrian

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver.

A car hit a pedestrian on Lakewood Avenue near S. Roxboro Street on Monday night - and kept going.

The victim did not appear to have life-threatening injuries.

An eyewitness told police he tried to follow the vehicle, but it got away.

Police did not immediately identify the victim.

The investigation is continuing.
