Teens work on homes in Fayetteville as part of mission trip

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Teenagers from North and South Carolina are spending their summer doing work on homes in the Fayetteville area as part of a summer mission trip.
They're scraping, painting, and making repairs to several homes, including two houses along B Street near downtown.
The week-long mission project is part of the national Home Works of America and the local Habitat for Humanity.
The teens are between 14-19 years old. They say it's hard work, but they take satisfaction knowing they're helping others.
"It's really humbling, it's really a great experience," said first year volunteer Jenna Mergy.
The St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fayetteville is helping feed and house the teens during their mission week. The homeowners said they feel truly blessed to have the help.
