Reports: Mercedes-Benz will choose Atlanta, not RTP, for new headquarters.

ATLANTA (WTVD) -- It appears that Mercedes-Benz will choose the Peach State over the Tar Heel State for its new corporate headquarters.

Our affiliate WSB-TV reports that Mercedes-Benz will make officially make the announcement Tuesday afternoon.

Mercedes had said all along it wanted to move its New Jersey operation closer to its assembly plant in Alabama.
