LUMBERTON (WTVD) -- A new discovery hearing has been scheduled for Daniel Green, the man convicted of murdering James Jordan, the father of retired basketball star Michael Jordan.
The most recent filing by attorneys representing Green argues that evidence used to convict Green was falsified.
Green and his attorneys have filed a Motion for Appropriate Relief and are seeking more evidence from the state.
The hearing set for Monday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m., will address discovery issues that need to be resolved before the court decides whether to allow a full evidentiary hearing to proceed. The ruling from the evidentiary hearing would determine whether or not Mr. Green is entitled to a new trial.
The hearing will be held at the Robeson County Courthouse.
