RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The North Carolina State Board of Elections (NCSBOE) had an emergency meeting Tuesday and decided to allow precincts in several counties to remain open past 7:30 p.m. because of a delayed start.

The extension applies to the following precincts:
The BOE later voted unanimously Tuesday to extend voting at a Craven County precinct by 25 minutes, to 7:55 p.m.
That precinct is at the River Bend Municipal Building, 51 Shoreline Drive, New Bern, NC.
Voting was disrupted there when election officials had to replenish their ballot supply.
