JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Authorities are looking for an alligator that went missing from a Johnston County home.
Todd Crocker called authorities last Friday after returning home and noticing one of his three alligators was gone.
Officials said Crocker has the necessary permits to raise snakes and alligators on his property on Mudham Road, which is between N.C. Highway 96 and N.C. Highway 231.
Tire tracks near the alligator pen suggested it may have been stolen rather than escaping out of its enclosure. Its pen was found secured.
The alligator is about five-feet long and weighs between 45 and 60 pounds.
