DURHAM (WTVD) -- A Durham man was arrested Tuesday on rape, kidnapping and robbery charges stemming from an incident last week.
Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Joint Fugitive Task Force arrested 33-year-old Randall Lee Bass at an apartment on Falls Pointe Drive.
Officers responded to a kidnapping call on May 11. A woman told officers that a man she identified as Bass kidnapped and sexually assaulted her.
Bass is also accused of taking her car and punching her repeatedly.
Bass faces charges of assault by strangulation, misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury, two counts of assault on a female, common-law robbery, communicating threats, first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping and habitual misdemeanor assault.
He is being held in the Durham County Jail on $3 million bond.
