DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating a shooting that left three people injured late Monday night.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. along N.C. 55 and Carpenter Fletcher Road in the southern part of the city.
According to police, three men -- 39-year-old Kenneth Williamson, 30-year-old Sammy Roberts, and 20-year-old Damien Edole -- were driving south on the highway in two separate vehicles, a green Dodge van and black Nissan, when they heard shots fired soon after they passed Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway.
Two of the men in the Nissan and the other man in the van were all struck, but they were able to drive themselves to the hospital. All three were treated for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the victims were unable to describe the suspected gunman or vehicle.
