At the camp's opening ceremony its founder talked about Nathan and his love for soccer. His parents also gave an emotional prayer during the ceremony.

The camp's slogan this year is 'Strong in the Lord,' which was one of his family's life mottos.

Nathan was part of the camp in 2011 and 2012.
