Police investigate alleged sex assault
Garner police are investigating a sex assault that they say happened in an apartment complex

GARNER, N.C. (WTVD) -- Garner police are investigating sexual assault that they say happened early Thursday morning.

Police said it happened around 3 a.m. at the Forest Hills Apartments on Seventh Avenue.

The victim told police that when she opened her door after hearing a call for help, three male suspects forced their way into her apartment. She said she was forced into her bedroom where she was sexually assaulted.

The three suspects allegedly ransacked the apartment and took containers of prescription medicine before leaving.

The victim was treated at a local hospital and released.

The first suspect is described as a dark-skinned black man in his late 20's about 6'0" tall and weighing about 160 lbs. He has long, dreadlock style hair, a small goatee and a gold colored "Grill" covering his top row of teeth. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve, blue hooded sweatshirt.

The second suspect is described as a light-skinned black man in his mid to late 20's about 5'7" tall and weighing about 250 lbs. He is bald with a tattoo on his neck and a teardrop design tattoo under his right eye. He was last seen wearing a "Duke" sweatshirt and low hanging jeans.

The third suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his mid to late 20's about 5'7" tall and weighing 200 lbs. He has long black hair that was in a pony-tail. He was wearing a long-sleeve grey shirt, jeans and a red hat with no emblem.
