Shooting reported in Raleigh on Capital Boulevard
RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Police are investigating a shooting in the 2900 block of Capital Boulevard just north of Hwy 440.
It happened at the City Studios Inn and Suites at the corner of Brentwood Rd. around 3:30 p.m.
Police said 27-year-old Demarcus Danyell Ramone Smith was shot in the leg. He was taken to WakeMed where his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Investigators were looking for a suspect who they described as a black male in his 20s, about 5' 10", with shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was wearing a white T-shirt and was armed with a handgun.
