CHICAGO -- Chicago is about to become home to the world's first official Nutella Cafe!
The new Michigan Avenue eatery will offer a variety of dishes with and without the famous hazelnut chocolate spread. Even if Nutella isn't drizzled on top, you probably will still find hazelnuts in the mix.
Menu items will include grilled baguettes with Nutella, hazelnut and blueberry granola with yogurt and Nutella, and Italian specialties like "Panzanella" fruit salad and Gelato Affogato topped with Nutella.
Savory dishes without Nutella include paninis and salads.
Great news for those on a diet: every Nutella-infused dish tallies 400 calories or fewer.
We had a chance to taste-test three of the new menu items ahead of the grand opening.
First: Greek yogurt with a mixed berry compote and pound cake croutons with a Nutella drizzled on top, of course. The croutons crumble, the yogurt and berries blend, and the Nutella does its thing.

Next, a speck-gruyere panini, topped with arugula tossed in a lemon vinaigrette. And the final layer: a whole grain mustard spread. Sweet, savory, zesty, and crunchy in every bite!
Last, but certainly not least was the liege waffle. With a scoop of green apple compote, a healthy serving of Nutella, and crushed hazelnuts on top, we can't complain about dessert.
The Nutella Cafe will open to the public at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31 at 189 N. Michigan Avenue.
The first 400 visitors will receive a free select menu item along with a chance for other surprises while supplies last.
