CHARLOTTE (WTVD) -- A special 6-year-old led the "Keep Pounding" drum ceremony Sunday before the Carolina Panthers game against the New Orleans Saints.

Braylon Beam is a kindergartener undergoing treatment for a tumor on his optic nerve.

Before the game started, Braylon pounded the drum, firing up the crowd and the team.

Braylon was the honorary associate coach for the Panthers during their Fan Fest, August 7.
