Police chief of Nash County town arrested, charged in cyberstalking

MIDDLESEX, NC (WTVD) -- Middlesex Police Chief William Dennis Murray and Town of Middlesex administrative assistant Tammy Pittman have been charged with cyberstalking.

The arrests stem from charges taken out by Pittman's husband, who, according to the warrants, alleges cyberstalking by Murray and Pittman.

Murray was arrested Tuesday while off duty by the Nash County Sheriff's Office. Pittman, turned herself in Wednesday afternoon.

Murray is being held at the Nash County Detention Center on $1,000 bond.

Pittman received a 48-hour hold and was remanded to the custody of the Nash County Detention Center. She is scheduled for a bond hearing Friday.
