Rain moves out, wind advisory across North Carolina
RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A wet cold front crossed central North Carolina early Monday with bands of rain that were locally heavy in places.

In its wake, the clouds broke up and a gusty breeze began to blow. Temps are also turning colder.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for most of the ABC11 viewing area until 7 p.m.

There were reports of trees down in Carrboro and other places across the Triangle.
The sky will clear tonight with a bright nearly full moon and the temperatures will plunge down into the 20s.
Tomorrow will feature bright sunshine with afternoon highs staying in the 40s.
Our weather will remain dry on Wednesday and a southerly breeze will boost readings up into the 50s in the afternoon.
The next cold front will cross our region on Thursday with clouds, lower temperatures and a period of rain.
Behind that front, the coldest air of the week will blow in on Friday and in many parts of our region the daytime high will be in the 30s. Then the weekend will be dry with warming temperatures.
