Hoke County deputies investigating after person shot, killed in Red Springs

RED SPRINGS, N.C. (WTVD) -- Hoke County deputies are investigating a Sunday morning shooting that left one person dead in Red Springs.

Just before noon, the Hoke County Sheriff's Office said the person, whose identity has not been released, was found dead along the 200 block of Hodgin Road.

Authorities did not say if they have a person in custody at this time or release any other details about what lead up to the shooting.
