School bus involved in Fuquay-Varina crash

FUQUAY-VARINA, NC (WTVD) -- A school bus was involved in a crash on Highway 401 at Sunset Lake Road in Fuquay-Varina Wednesday afternoon.

The crash was reported just after 3 p.m.

Pictures from Chopper 11 HD showed a pickup truck rear-ended the bus. The truck has heavy damage.

Emergency workers were tending to the injured at the scene. A woman who was on the school bus and driver of another vehicle were taken to the hospital. There were no students on the bus at the time of the crash.
