2 charged in sex assault of Moore Co. 12-year-old girl

Two people are in custody Wednesday, one charged with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.

Gustavo Perez was arrested last week on felony charges including statutory rape.

The Moore County Sheriff's Office said Perez recently moved to the county from outside the United States and may be here illegally.

Jenna Sanders, 28, is charged with felony child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Investigators say she dropped Perez off where the child lived, knowing what he intended to do.
