Multiple people were shot early Sunday morning in Four Oaks

FOUR OAKS, N.C. (WTVD) -- Johnston County deputies are investigating a shooting where multiple people were injured early Sunday morning.

Authorities said it happened around 3 a.m. in the 2000 block of Stricklands Crossroads Road in Four Oaks.

Five people were injured, according to deputies, and two of those people were sent to the hospital in critical condition - one to WakeMed and one to Johnston Health in Smithfield.

There was heavy police presence at Johnston Health to deal with crowd control.
