RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A 13-year-old boy is recovering after colliding with a SUV while sledding Tuesday morning.

It happened just before noon on Clear Brook Drive off of Falls of Neuse Road in North Raleigh.

The teen's father told ABC11 that his son was sledding down a driveway and slid under the vehicle just as it was driving past the area.

"I was sitting up in my office watching and I saw most of it happen and... it just scares you as a parent not knowing what condition he would be in," Chris Camplejohn said.

He said his son was conscious the whole time and only suffered minor injuries, but was taken to the hospital by EMS as a precaution.
