MORRISVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- Lenovo and US Veterans Corps say they broke the Guinness world record for toys collected in 24 hours Tuesday.
It was all for Toys for Lil' Troops, which provides toys to children of deployed and low income service people.

They're still adding up the donations, but it was more than 45,000 pounds, or more than 22 tons.
"The record is certainly the cherry on the cake. It's more important about the toys and the kids," offered Lenovo VP Scott Ottman.
USVC will deliver the toys collected directly to local military installations along the East Coast. Toys for Lil' Troops also delivers toys year-round to the children of veteran families in need.
