Eagle alumni came back to Durham to celebrate homecoming weekend

DURHAM (WTVD) -- North Carolina Central University celebrated their homecoming weekend with tons of Eagle pride in Durham.

Before Saturday's homecoming game, the Eagles who returned to campus enjoyed the annual homecoming parade. Always a crowd-pleaser, the parade moved along Fayetteville Street onto campus.

Football fans wasted no time setting up grills, and they even played a little cornhole for the massive pregame tailgate across the street from the stadium.

While most people had an undeniably good time, others appreciated the opportunity for establishing potentially profitable relationships.

"The thing about N.C. Central is, once you're here, we are a family and the networking never stops," said alumnus Ryan Norris. "So I'm meeting people. This is camaraderie, the fellowship...you're home!"

The Eagles beat Norfolk State University 24-16.
