RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A wreck blocked a major artery into downtown Raleigh Wednesday evening.
A car struck a pole on South Saunders Street, which caused the pole to fall across the roadway around 6:30 p.m.
An eyewitness said one of the passengers inside the wrecked car went into labor shortly after the accident. She was taken to the hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
Both lanes of traffic reopened before 8 p.m.
