Quarterback sneak! Panthers' Cam Newton reveals he's a dad

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has had a nearly perfect season.

He's guided the Panthers to a remarkable 14-1 record, winning the NFC South and placing himself squarely at the forefront of the conversation for NFL Most Valuable Player.

Now Newton has even more reason to celebrate. He's become a father, as he revealed Wednesday.

Newton also explained on Twitter why he didn't announce the news sooner.

Hopefully, the newest Newton will let his daddy get some sleep. After all, the Panthers have a big game against Tampa Bay on Sunday with a No. 1 playoff seeding at stake.
