15th Annual Emerald Award recognizes women who make a difference

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The 15th Annual Emerald Award Luncheon was held in Raleigh on Saturday.

The event, held by the Raleigh chapter of The Links, Incorporated, recognizes five women in the community who have made a significant contribution to help others.

The chapter is one of the nation's oldest and largest volunteer service organizations, implementing programs that prepare youth for success, advance artistic heritage, advocate for the underserved, nurture connections with global impact, and promote family wellness.

ABC11's Lauren Johnson was also in attendance as a host at Saturday's event.
