WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Authorities charged a father-daughter duo with running a meth lab out of their Wake County home on Thursday. The daughter is also being charged with child abuse.

According to an arrest warrant, 26-year-old Kelsey Stephenson's 3-month-old and 3-year-old children were inside the mobile home when she and her father were "cooking methamphetamine inside the residence."

Kelsey Stephenson is in jail under a $155,000 bond. Her father, 57-year-old Fred Stephenson, is being held on a $152,000 bond.

Fred Stephenson's neighbors said they were shocked at his arrest. Fred Stephenson used to go to church, according to neighbors, but things in his life changed when his daughter Kelsey moved in earlier this year.

Neighbors also said the two children are now with their grandmother.

"I'm glad that they're with family members," neighbor Davis Knight said. "I'm also hoping that's the end of it as far as the children being around it."

Wake Sheriff's investigators have also charged a 27-year-old man and 26-year-old woman in connection with the case.
