Wake County Schools updated the media Friday on its back to school numbers, more coverage later today on ABC11 and ABC11.com, but first here's some of the highlights:
- 10,000 teachers employed
- 100 vacant teacher positions
- 700 new teachers, 350 are first year teachers
- 2,200 teacher assistants
- 830 bus drivers and the district is fully staffed
