Man dies after Wake Forest shooting

WAKE FOREST (WTVD) -- Authorities in Wake Forest are searching for a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting along North Allen Drive early Thursday morning.

Around 1:30 a.m., police officers were called to the 300 block of North Allen Drive, near E. Nelson Avenue, and found 26-year-old Sebastian Unique Smith who had been shot near the Hope House.

Smith was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Although he was found near Hope House. Hope House is a ministry serving children and families in need in the area.

The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are currently looking for the gunman, but said they don't have a description of the suspect at this time.
