Wake Forest police: Teen's story about being forced to swallow pills not true
The Wake Forest Police Department said Friday it has not been able to substantiate a 13-year-old girl's story

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Wake Forest Police Department said Friday it has not been able to substantiate a 13-year-old girl's story about being forced to swallow pills by an unidentified man and has ended the investigation.

On Jan. 26, the teen reported she was approached by an unidentified man in dark clothing wearing a mask near the intersection of Jones Dairy Road and Green Mountain Drive in the Bowling Green subdivision.

The girl said she was told to take an unknown quantity of pills. After swallowing the pills, she ran to a nearby house for help and the homeowner called police.

The victim was taken to WakeMed for testing and observation, but a toxicology test found no presence of drugs or medications of any kind.

Police have not identified the teen.
