RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Lace up your skates and get ready to glide across the ice!
The Ipreo Winterfest ice rink opens Saturday, Nov. 22 at noon in City Plaza. The rink will remain open through Sunday, Feb. 1. Skaters will also be able to skate during the mayor's tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 6. As usual, there are several discount days and events to give you more bang for your buck.
On Tuesdays, the rink will host "Two for Tuesdays," where if you buy admission at full price, you get the second admission free.
Thursday evenings will bring the romance. On Date and Skate night, if you arrive between 6-9 p.m., you can enjoy a complimentary horse-drawn carriage ride through downtown Raleigh with the purchase of an ice rink wristband.
Rock Around the Rink Fridays brings the party from 8-11 p.m. Skaters will glide to the beat as local DJs spin the hottest hits.
Ice rink admission including skate rental is $9 for both adults and children.
Dates and times of operation will vary, and in the event of inclement weather, certain activities may be cancelled. Please visit www.godowntownraleigh.com/winterfest for daily ice skating rink and event information.
