Father, two children hurt in Wilson's Mills wreck

WILSON'S MILLS (WTVD) -- A father and two children were injured Tuesday when their Jeep collided with a work truck on US 70 and Wilson's Mills Road in Wilson's Mills.

One child was seriously injured and rushed to WakeMed trauma unit. The man and the other child were taken by ambulance to WakeMed.

The driver of the truck was not injured. He told people at the scene that his brakes failed. It appears his truck struck the door of the Jeep where a child was seated.

Wilson's Mills Police Department is investigating.

No details are available yet as to the identity of those involved or any possible charges.
