A Raleigh man killed in a plane crash Saturday is mourned by his friends and family.

Officials say 59-year-old Charles Zeira was landing his Ultralight on a private landing strip when the wing got caught and flipped the plane over.

It happened Saturday morning on Tart Town Road off Highway 96 in Johnston County.

Zeira was stable on his way to Wake Med, but died an hour after he arrived.

Johnston County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Tammy Amaon says he suffered injuries to his leg and pelvis.

Authorities say a cause of death for Zeigra has not been determined.
