Family establishes memorial fund for Nancy Cooper

The family of murdered Cary woman Nancy Cooper has established a memorial fund in her name.

Donations can be made to the Nancy Cooper Memorial Fund.

Send c/o RBC Bank, 101 Advent Court, Cary, N.C. 27518.

Donations can also be made at any RBC branch by referencing the Nancy Cooper Memorial Fund.

A drop box was available at Saturday's memorial service. Contributions were requested in lieu of flowers.

A third vigil is scheduled in Canada next week.

The first vigil, which was only open to family and close friends was held Friday.

Cooper, 34, was found dead by a man walking his dog on the evening of Monday, July 14. in the Oaks at Meadow Ridge neighborhood, which is under construction. It is in a 5-mile radius of the Cooper home.

She was reported missing Saturday after not showing up at a friend's home. Brad Cooper, Nancy's husband told police he last saw Nancy leaving their home for a jog around 7 a.m. Saturday.

There are no suspects or persons of interest in the case.
