Coach Roy Williams said in a news conference Tuesday that he would not hesitate to bench Lawson in order to rest his toe.
By resting during the ACC tournament, Lawson will hopefully be able to play in the NCAA tournament. It is not clear is Lawson will play later this week if the Tar Heels advance.
