Paratrooper to be tried in soldier's death

FORT BRAGG According to officials from the 82nd Airborne Division , one of seven soldiers charged in the July 20, 2008 death of 27-year-old Pfc. Luke Brown will go to trial.

Sgt. Justin Boyle is scheduled to be court-martialed for involuntary manslaughter and other charges. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison if convicted.

Testimony in January revealed that soldiers from Brown's unit tried to restrain him by punching him and tying his hands. The soldier reportedly had become unruly after a night of drinking at a Fayetteville bar.

The soldiers said when they drove back to the barracks, Brown was unresponsive.

Military officials have not decided whether the other six soldiers will stand trial.
