FORT BRAGG

They were greeted with cheers, hugs and kisses from friends and family after landing at Pope Air Force Base.

The 27th Engineer Battalion spent the past year in Afghanistan, where they worked with the Afghan Army to beef up security and eliminate explosive devices.
