Hold on to your hat. We're likely going to see some windy conditions Friday with some gusts in the 40-45 mile per hour range.

ABC11 meteorologist Don Schwenneker says a fast moving cold front will send a band of showers to the area this morning and into the afternoon.

Gusty winds in the 40 mile per hour range will come in the morning and possibly stronger in the afternoon. A Wind Advisory is in effect for all the region.

Schwenneker said the thunderstorms are not expected to be severe.

"Rainfall amounts will be only about a quarter of an inch, with some areas getting a bit more," Schwenneker said. "The showers will move out by mid-afternoon and some sun will return."

Things will clear out and be slightly cooler for the weekend.
