Media want Hunter court records unsealed

HILLSBOROUGH

Attorneys filed the request Wednesday. The document states the public has the right to know what's happening at the courthouse and in the case involving former Senator John Edwards.

The case focuses on a sex tape and other materials Hunter left behind in a house she shared with Andrew and Cheri Young.

The court filing asks the judge to allow the public access to a deposition Edwards gave in the case and a follow up filing asking Edwards to provide more information about the scandal.

The media consortium is not asking for access to the sex tape. The consortium includes ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times, News Corporation, the Associated Press and ABC11 among others.
