Raleigh police searching for robbery suspect

Raleigh police are trying to identify and locate the man who was involved in two armed robberies.Raleigh Police Department Director of Public Affairs Jim Sughrue says the suspect entered the Rose Mart convenience store on E. Six Forks Road around 10:45 p.m. on May 6 and robbed the clerk at gunpoint before fleeing.

About 15 minutes later, the same suspect entered the BP convenience store at 6200 Glenwood Ave. and robbed the clerk at gunpoint, then fled.

The suspect - seen in a surveillance photo - is described as an African American man standing about 5' 8-10" tall.

Anyone who believes they may know the suspect's identity or who has other information that might be helpful to detectives investigating the cases is asked to call Raleigh CrimeStoppers at (919) 834-HELP.
