It happened around 1:45 a.m. at a home on Arcola Road in Hollister. Firefighters said they arrived on scene to find the house fully engulfed in flames.
The home was destroyed. When firefighters searched the rubble, they found the bodies of three people.
Family members told ABC11 that 28-year-old Paul Lynch, 43-year-old Steve Richardson, and 62-year-old Lynwood Lynch all died in the blaze. They were a grandfather, father, and uncle.
"Everybody around here loved em," said neighbor David Richardson.
"They'll give you their last if they had it. They'll open their house to anybody - welcome anybody and everybody. They was good people and they're really gonna be missed," said family friend Linda Lynch.
Richardson recalled the frantic moments before firefighters arrived.
"My kids got up. They heard something popping," he said. "By the time we got out of the house and got out here, it was flaming so bad, nobody could get close to it."
Investigators said they were working to find the cause of the fire.
