Pair busted for allegedly selling alcohol illegally

Fayetteville police have arrested two men after receiving complaints that they were selling alcohol illegally.

Authorities charged 45-year-old Dwayne Tyree Hunt and 40-year-old Marcus Wiley after they searched their home in the 1700 block of Murchison Road Wednesday.

During the search, police officers along with ABC officers found a bar inside the home along with; 24 liquor bottles, 108 cans of beer, 16 bottles of beer, mixers, cups and snacks. They also found marijuana, cocaine, almost $1,000 in cash and a handgun.

Hunt was charged with possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana, manufacture marijuana, maintain dwelling for the sale of a controlled substance, possession of firearm by felon, possession for sale of alcohol without ABC permit, sale of alcohol without ABC permit, possession of non-tax-paid alcoholic beverages.

He is currently in jail under a $30,000 bond.

Meanwhile, Wiley has been charged with possession of cocaine and has been placed under a $2,000 bond.
