A Cary teen was seriously injured after police say he fell from the second-story balcony of a North Myrtle Beach home late Thursday evening during an apparent party.

The teen was found bleeding from the nose and mouth around 10:30 p.m. Police said he was transported to Grand Strand Hospital.

One other teen fell off the balcony, but suffered only minor injuries.

A police report said about 15 kids were packed on to the balcony when the teens fell off. It is unclear whether the teens were intentionally pushed off the balcony, or if it was an accident.

One neighbor recalled what he saw.

"Quite a few kids on the deck, but then I really fell asleep and then I was awakened by the police cars that were here," said Bill Husek. "There had to be at least, probably seven of them."

Horry County authorities said at least 12 teens from Wake County were arrested for underage drinking in connection with the party. They are:

  • Miranda Nichole Browning, 19, of Cary

  • Tyler Scott Carroll, 17, of Cary

  • Fernando Castellanos, 17, of Raleigh

  • Alexander Gregg Conwell, 18, of Cary

  • Chesley Morris Edwards, 17, of Cary

  • Jakob Ross Grabey, 17, of New Hill

  • Tyler Isaac Hamby, 18, of Cary

  • Kevin Francis McQueeney, 18, of Cary

  • William Churchill Moore, 17, of Cary

  • Fraser Alexander Murphy, 18, of Cary

Carroll and Castellanos also face marijuana charges.

Two 16 year olds were also charged with possession of alcohol.
