RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Patriot Guard escorted the body of a contractor killed in Afghanistan to Fayetteville late Monday night.

Jason Landphair's body arrived at Raleigh-Durham International Airport around 10 p.m.

He was among three contractors killed in Kabul last week.

Wednesday, Landphair's family released a statement which said: "We are heartbroken by the loss of Jason. He was a brave and wonderful man, husband, father, brother and son. We loved him very much and miss him terribly. We were, and are, so proud of who he was and his service to our country. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time."

The Patriot Guard escorted the hearse to a funeral home in Fayetteville.

Landphair's funeral will be held Monday afternoon at Manna church.

A second Fayetteville man, Walt Fisher, was also killed.
